FALLUJAH, Iraq. Iraqi soldiers and police participated in a civil assistance operation to distribute goods to families in need in Fallujah with the support of Regimental Combat Team 6 Marines July 20-21.

 KARMAH, Iraq – The desert of Iraq is vast, but Iraq’s tolerance for terrorism is all but a single grain of sand. Citizens have no sympathy for those who only bring violence into their community. Because of this, terrorists are moving out of the larger cities, looking for spots in smaller suburbs to conduct their campaign of terror and propaganda. They are similar to roaches scurrying across a larger, bare floor, looking for safety; but Coalition Forces are closing in and terrorists in the Anbar Province are running out of places to hide.

FALLUJAH, Iraq – Marines with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, recently completed another phase of Operation Alljah here June 30. The Marines, working with Iraqi soldiers and Iraqi Police, worked attentively to fortify an abandoned Iraqi home that later became one of many Iraqi Police precincts in the city.

FALLUJAH, Iraq -- “Shukran,” an Iraqi soldier said after a Marine handed him a sandbag. “You’re welcome,” the Marine responded. Even though the two can’t completely understand each other, their comments are genuine. Taking little notice to the language barrier, their work remains steady because they are, after all, working side-by-side in 110 degree heat.

A U.S. Marine commander in Anbar province predicted that Al Qaeda fighters will be expelled from Fallujah by August as the military moves to cut insurgent supply and reinforcement lines into Baghdad and surrounding areas.borders with Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia.

FALLUJAH, Iraq – Marines and Sailors with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, and Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, both with Multi-National Forces-West, recently completed the first phase of “Operation Alljah” in the city of Fallujah.

ALBU ISSA, Iraq - The Marines of Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, have been working closely with the Iraqi Police to provide a security presence in this area. Together they shape a formidable team that is able to overcome many of the hurdles that Marines normally have to deal with on their own.

CAMP BAHARIA, Iraq - The sounds of men shouting cadence, boots stomping down baby powder-fine sand and rocks skittering across the ground fill the air. Iraqis in green flight suits, helmets and bullet-proof vests hold their rifles in front of their chest and march in time to the commands of their blue-shirted drill instructor, an Iraqi policeman by the name of Mohammed.
